MOTOGP >>> nEWs MOTOGp – RACE MARC MARK XIII Marc Marquez ran his win column up to 13 with a dazzling win in the final race of the MotoGP season at Valencia. After watching Valentino Rossi take his first pole position in four years in Qualifying, Marquez bided his time, taking 11 laps to assert his authority and take the lead. But mid-race drizzle threatened to upset the order as Rossi closed and, for a while, looked threatening. But once the threat of weather passed, Marquez upped his pace and took control of the race. While Rossi was in no position to challenge for the win, his second place sealed second in the championship in what has been a remarkable season for the Italian veteran. The weather also settled any threat for Jorge Lorenzo. With the weather threatening, he pitted with 10 laps remaining to swap into his ‘wet’ Yamaha M1, accompanied by early race leader Andrea Iannone. Once the weather cleared the spaniard was clearly on the wrong bike and retired. Dani Pedrosa finished third ahead of Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow, who impressed in his final race for Ducati. Pol espargaro finished sixth ahead of brother Aleix and, with Bradley smith dropping his tech 3 Yamaha on lap 18, Pol sealed sixth in the championship. 16 GPWEEK.com // 16 GPWEEK.com // PARTNERS:
