MOTOGP >>> nEWs MOTO3 – RACE jACK'S BATTlE,AlEX'S wAR Both Jack Miller and Alex Marquez had to earn their win and titles, respectively, in their championship shootout in Valencia. In what became a high-speed tactical chess game, Miller initially 'backed' the lead group up in the hope that it would disrupt Marquez (who needed to finish third to ensure championship victory), but then had to battle back to the lead himself after dropping to the rear of an eight-man group following an awkward 'contact' moment. Marquez too had to fight back similarly to the front of the group after running wide and nearly out of the race. Another tricky multi-bike 'moment' saw Millar facing a 1.5 second deficit to leader Isaas Viñales. The Australian closed the gap over the final five laps of the race to take the sixth win of his final season in Moto3. All Marquez had to do was hold on to third position – but Danny Kent closed the gap significantly over the final lap, leaving it at only 0.6s at the flag. Alex Rins was fifth ahead of Afren Vazquez, while Niccolo Antonelli was seventh after taking his first career pole in Qualifying. 18 GPWEEK.com // 18 GPWEEK.com // PARTNERS:
