GP Week : Issue 215
THE MOMENT... The last Brit to win a second F1 title was Sir Jackie Stewart, in 1971. That year, with JYS driving a Tyrrell-Ford, it wasn't even close. The championship was over by the German GP and Stewart won the title with six wins and 62 points, nearly doubling runner-up Ronnie Petersen (March – 33 pts). (Sutton Images archive 1960-2014.
