GP Week : Issue 1
I T’S been a funny old 12 months. Last season saw a lot of shouting and arguing, spying scandals, arbitration proceedings and general discontent ... but there was also a lot of incredible racing which seemed to get lost under the mudslide of political wrangling. And so here we are on the brink of another F1 season, and here at GPWeek we can’t wait to put 2007 behind us and get on with what promises to be one of the most exciting Formula One campaigns in years. Over the coming pages we’ll be looking at each of the teams who will be competing for championship honours in 2008, with analysis from our expert guide – Force India F1’s Tonio Liuzzi. Not only has Tonio raced for and against all of the teams featured in the following pages over the last three years, but this winter has conducted an extensive level of testing for the new Force India F1 team. At the wheel of his VJM01, he’s been out on-track at the same time as the Ferrari F2008, the McLaren MP4-23, the Williams FW30 and their rivals… and he knows what they can do. So sit back and let Tonio take you through his list of who’s looking hot and who’s certainly not, for F1 2008. 18
