GP Week : Issue 5
TEAM Principal Stefano Domenicali has heaped praise on his team after the Ferrari squad recorded its first 1-2 of the 2008 season in Bahrain. “After a bad start to the season, we have proved we know how to react with our actions, as usual,” he said. “We worked well all weekend and the results therefore followed.” He was quick to single out his drivers for special attention, as both had come under fire in the opening races of the season: “Felipe was fantastic and Kimi also did a good job, as did the entire team, here at the track, but above all those back home, because our success stems from everyone in Maranello. Domenicali acknowledged the increase in competitiveness of BMW, and said that the team would not be resting on its laurels before Barcelona. “The others can take more important points, so it will be important to keep up the pace of reliability,” he continued. “But we don’t have to forget that we have to keep on developing our car to the maximum, because the others will not sleep. “They will be back again very strong in Spain and I’m expecting McLaren to be back again and up to standard in Barcelona.” Doubt gone ...
