GP Week : Issue 7
Letters email us at email@example.com The Price is Right! I’m a Spanish F1 viewer, and I would like to answer to Daniel Price from Australia’s question regarding Spanish TV commentators and their bias. Here, TV broadcast from Telecinco is so biased, that any Grand Prix turns into an ‘Alonso-party.’ The new F1 God! Let’s say Alonso, who is a top-notch driver, no question about it, wins a race, the broadcaster would say ‘truly and well deserved victory.’ But what happens when he doesn’t win? ‘Oh, it’s a conspiracy against him!’ Or ‘Alonso was filled with 120 litres of fuel,’ or ‘Alonso’s car had the wrong setup’ or even, ‘the team doesn’t want him to win.’ It’s always the same. It really makes me puke. PS: I like this magazine. Gorka Urizar. firstname.lastname@example.org Aren’t early injuries a worry? I read with interest your story about Jorge Lorenzo going straight into surgery following his win in Portugal last week. Is that a concern for a 20-year-old? To have athritis like symptons at such an early age. People go on about sports like football and cricket causing life-long injuries to professional sportsman, but I guess most people don’t appreciate that motorsport puts strain on the human body even when there isn’t a crash involved. Let’s just hope that Jorge’s recovery is as speedy as his lap-times are! James Walterson Oxford, UK Jumping Jordan, it’s here already! I’m especially looking forward to reading this week’s edition of GPWeek, and I simply cannot wait for next week’s! I say that because I’m guessing your able rally contributors will have something about the upcoming Jordan round this week, and I really can’t wait to see the photography that will come out of such a historic round. I’m still not sure what World Rallying in the Middle East will look like, but I’m sure GPWeek will help me out with that! Ian Murphy Battersea, UK 20
