> F1NEWS> front foot Ferrari provides the Singapore ‘clowns’! Ecclestone on the A WEEK of stinging criticism between the usually cosy duo of Ferrari and Bernie Ecclestone has followed the Singapore Grand Prix, during which Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo was scathing in his criticism of the race. “Tracks such as Singapore would be more suitable for staging a circus,”he said. “Anything can happen, because the Safety Car provides the spectacle and that is humiliating for F1.” But Ecclestone told Britain’s Mail on Sunday newspaper that di Montezemolo might have been better to have kept his comments to himself, given his team’s dismal showing in Singapore. “If the Ferrari president is right about the Singapore Grand Prix being a circus, then we have to be grateful to him for providing the clowns! “After the weekend Ferrari had, their president should have shut up and kept his head down. If [Felipe] Massa loses the world championship, he will know the team was responsible.”
