GP Week : Issue 51
>>MOTOCHAT entino Rossi. His first year poke toMICHAEL SCOTT Are you sorry you never had a chance to race a 500 two-stroke? Yes. Because I think I would be faster without electronic. And a small difficulty with the bike is better for me. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think so. I never rode a 500. I rode a 250, and I think a 500 is like a 250, but much more powerful. The 250 was difficult to ride. So the 500 would be almost impossible. Do you ever get scared? This morning! But the main scared moment I had was last year, when I crashed the fifth time in a row. At Montmelo I had accident in my head. I didn’t remember anything for two days, so I was very scared. I didn’t want to race any more. For how long? Two days. Then I became more optimistic. Do you ever think that it’s a crazy job, racing? Yes. But you have to do it. It happens to me when I go on holiday, the first week I am okay. I like the free time, the funny moments. But when I pass this week, I want to race again. I believe you’ve left London. Where are you living now? Barcelona. I didn’t like London. Too much rain, and I don’t have friends there. Does this mean you’ve given up your acting classes, or your acting ambitions? Was very hard. Four hours a day. You don’t have time to relax, to train more on the bike. And at the end maybe you don’t get the talent to be an actor. So I prefer to focus on the racing, and after when I get retired, something different. I don’t think about tomorrow, so I don’t think about the future. 21
