Liuzzi gives best performance of 2010 WHAT could have been if Tonio Liuzzi hadn't snagged his Force India against Felipe Massa in Turn 1. The Italian had qualified a brilliant sixth, beating his team mate Adrian Sutil for only the second time this year. Previously his best grid position this year had been in Monaco, with 10th. Coming back from the first lap incident would be a tough task but try he did, trading paint with Michael Schumacher as he scythed through to take position from the German. He finished ninth, a place ahead of his team-mate. Tonio is under pressure after a lacklustre return to his racing career, but a performance like this will, the team hopes, gives Liuzzi the confidence he needs to keep pushing. "We should ultimately have had more points than we got in the end, but it's always okay to get another few points on board, particularly after the last race when they seemed so far away," said Tonio. "Unfortunately we lost a big part of the race as the door was closed on me in the first corner by Felipe. It was a race accident, as Jenson was on the other side and there wasn't anything I could do -- I was on the inside and holding my line. We lost the front wing and had to change the strategy then and there, but in the end we still got some points. "The team is pushing like hell and we want to confirm the progress we've made with more results. Today showed we're strongly in the top 10 and -- more importantly -- we will never give up." 32
