"I drove the Fiesta R2 on a rally in Britain, but a stone got stuck between a caliper and the wheel, locked the wheel, and seems to have been the reason why we rolled in a flat out bend. "I have not yet driven a Group R3 car. R3 cars seem to be in the middle between S1600 and Group N. I think on some rallies the R3 cars can almost be as good as Super 1600, but normally the S1600 should be quicker. "S1600 is really not much different to being a front-wheel drive version of a S2000. It is however a big step between R2 and S1600." And policies for the future? "My plan is to be able to drive a turbocharged Super 2000 World Rally Car in 2011. I think the SWRC series is the best preparation to do that. That is where you find the media and the coverage they bring. "The big teams expecting to go into the WRC in 2011 are already in the WRC, so this is the best place to be at this time."
