The Marlboro Ducati rider came off worse, and picked up places much slower, worried about his brakes. He was 12th, close behind Hiro Aoyama (Interwetten Honda) and Marco Melandri (San Carlo Honda) and narrowly ahead of the satellite Ducatis of Hector Barbera and Alex Espargaro, a gang that had been scrapping for much of the race. A second fourth in a row added just 13 points, bringing Lorenzo’s tally to 297, while Pedrosa’s stopped for now on 228. Stoner is closing on 180, Dovi has 159 and Rossi 156. 35
