THROUGH THE LENS ... Bahrain F1 Grand Prix This is a photo of Jenson Button's final pit stop. I was getting into position for the podium celebrations and it took me by surprise when he came in for an unscheduled pit stop to replace a punctured tyre. I had my 500mm lens and just shot it from the rear, but didn't realise at the time that you can see smoke coming from the back of the car. The next lap he came in and retired so it turned out to be a significant photo because, if he'd finished the race in fifth, he would have been at the top of the championship.
