GP Week : Issue 203
MOTOGP >>> nEWs MOTO2 PRESIDENT TITO Tito Rabat hauled his way back onto the winner’s podium in Italy, and is back as the man to beat for the Moto2 title. Rabat bided his time on a harder rear tyre early in the race, allowing rookies Luis Salom and Jonas Folger to run up front. But then Rabat came into his own, taking the lead and opening up a 22 point lead in the Moto2 title chase. Salom and Folger filled out the podium positions, while Simone Corsi was 8s back in fourth, taking the title of best Italian rider on home turf. Dominique Aegerter and Mika Kallio were next, and while it was a low-key performance from the Finn (who started the race from 11th after a tough Saturday), the Kalex riders continue to dominate the season.
