F1 >>> nEWs Fernando Alonso may race in the Le Mans 24 Hour race – ‘one day’. The double World Champion, who started the 2014 edition of the endurance classic, told reporters that he would like to race in the event in the future. “Well I’m the first time here for me, so it’s a completely new experience, and try to enjoy this weekend that I’m not in the car, and let these guys compete,” he told Eurosport. “It’s a race that’s very attractive for all of the drivers, it’s very prestigious, so yes, I think one day before later I’ll come here.” Alonso’s former rival and friend Mark Webber made his return to the event last week, racing in Porsche’s factory LMP1 team. Other former F1 drivers in the race included Alex Wurz, Nick Heidfeld, Bruno Senna, Marc Gene and Giancarlo Fisichella. ALONSO A LE MANS "MAYBE" 11 GPWEEK.com // 11 GPWEEK.com // PARTNERS:
