MOTOGP >>> nEWs MOTO2 – RACE RABAT'S HABIT Tito Rabat dominated on home soil and took his fourth win in seven starts by a margin of 4s. After starting on pole, the Marc VDS Racing Team rider eased away from the field, leading home countryman Maverick Viñales and Johann Zarco. The battle for the podium was intense, with Mika Kallio (Marc VDS Racing Team) and Thomas Luthi (Interwetten Paddock Moto2) pushing hard over the final laps but falling short of standing on the podium. Jordi Torres (Mapfre Aspar Team Moto2) and Dominique Aegerter (Technomag carXpert) were also in the battle until an incident ended both riders’ hopes. Mattia Pasini (NGM For ward Racing), Ricard Cardus (Tech 3), A xel Pons (AGR Team), Marcel Schrotter (Tech 3) and Anthony West (QMMF Racing Team) completed the top 10. The Australian rider moved up an amazing 17 places from his starting position. Several of the fancied riders struck trouble, with Jonas Folger (AGR Team) ending his race ended prematurely when he crashed while avoiding Luis Salom (Paginas Amarillas HP 40). Salom was later treated for a broken finge r. With the win, Rabat extends his Championship lead to 34 points over Kallio.
