The American is recovering from surgery on his wrist in the USA earlier this month, and while his treatment is continuing on schedule, he will not be fit to ride at Indianapolis and Brno. His place on the Drive 7 Aspar Honda will be taken in both races by Leon Camier. The Briton, who was named as the team’s reserve rider last month, and has become something of a ‘super-sub’ this year. He was expected to race in MotoGP for the IODA Racing team, but his seat did not eventuate when the team did not raise the funds for a second Aprilia RSV4. Since then, he joined BMW Motorrad Italia, filling in for Sylvain Barrier, and then replaced the injured Claudio Corti on the MV Agusta F4RR at Laguna Seca’s WSBK round. Hayden is expected to attend the Indy MotoGP race to represent the team’s sponsors and mingle with fans. 18 GPWEEK.com // 18 GPWEEK.com // PARTNERS:
